The City of Ghent and its museum digitised their collections and invited artists to propose projects at the intersection of heritage, research, and technology.

We developed a project aimed at making this heritage collection more accessible and engaging. Using descriptive AI and natural language processing, we restructured the collection—extracting objects from their flat database format and repositioning them in a dynamic 3D space based on their content. This creates unexpected connections and brings previously hidden elements to the surface.
Visitors can explore this space and add their chosen objects to an infinite digital collage. This growing, collective composition will later be synthesised into a new artwork, to be reinstalled in the museum.

This project was made possible with the support of the UIA, District09, and the European Union.
